Il 21 Apirle 2010 è stata rilasciata la versione “R2” di SQL Server 2008. La dicitura “R2”, come ormai consuetudine Microsoft, indica che questa è una release basata sulla precedente, alla quale però vengono aggiunte una serie di feature a contorno cosi da arricchire l’offerta di funzionalità presenti, con particolare riguardo, in questo caso, a:

Rilasciata la Cumulative Update 9 per SQL Server 2005 SP3:

al termine dell’aggiornamento la versione di SQL Server 2005 sarà la 9.00.4294.

Rilasciato l’Update 2 del “SQL Server 2008 R2 Update for Developers Training Kit”, package dedicato a tutti coloro che usano SQL Server 2008 e vogliono fare un pò di training per usarlo al meglio:

Rilasciato il Cumulative Update 10 per SQL Server 2008 RTM.

Dopo l’installazione della Cumulative Update, la versione di SQL Server 2008 sarà la 10.00.1835.00.

Microsoft ha rilasciato il Cumulative Update 7 per SQL Server 2008 SP1, il cui numero di build è 2766.

Dopo l’installazione della Cumulative Update, la versione di SQL Server 2005 sarà la9.00.4285.

Non è prevista alcuna release della relativa Cumulative Update per SQL Server 2005 SP2, in quanto la versione SP2 il supporto alla stessa è terminato a Gennaio 2010.
